How do I indicate my preferences for elective education?

Updated on

Introduction

For some education programmes it is possible to indicate preferences for elective education.

You have to do a pre-registration in which you indicate a number of preferences for courses. After the pre-registration period, a draw will be made for which course you will be registered for, taking into account your highest preference as much as possible.

Log on OSIRIS Student. Choose 'Enrol' and then 'Pre-enrolment elective education':

Select the start course in which you want to indicate your preferences. Only the periods that are open to you for registration are visible in this screen:

Click on your preferences courses.  When you have entered the correct number of preferences, an arrow will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click here to proceed to the next step.

You will be able to edit the order of your preferred courses later.

In this step, you are able to edit the order of your preferred courses by dragging the courses in the right order.

After checking and confirming your choices, you will find a confirmation of pre-enrolment in your in-box.

You can check your enrolments and pre-enrolments in your account. You can edit your pre-enrolment until the last the of the pre-registration period.

After the pre-registration period has ended, the administration will draw lots for the pre-registrations, taking into account the highest preferences of the students. You will receive a notification after final registration for one of your choices. Your indicated order of preferences will not show in your overview of pre-enrollments anymore.
